The Cebu Warty Pig is a small, critically endangered wild pig with distinctive warts on its face. It has a reddish-brown coat and is known for its shy and elusive nature. This pig is adapted to forested environments and is primarily herbivorous, feeding on roots, fruits, and seeds.
Geographic Distribution
Found only in the forests of Cebu, particularly in the areas of Central Cebu National Park and Mount Lanaya.
Habitat and Ecology
Dense forests and montane forests in the central and southern parts of Cebu.
Uses
No direct uses; primarily of interest for conservation and scientific study.
